Data Collection
Ebola News collects minimal, fully anonymous telemetry data for the sole purpose of understanding which pages are visited and how users arrive at the site.
What We Collect
- Page URL — the address of the page you visited
- Referrer — the site you came from, if any
- Visitor ID — a random UUID stored in localStorage to distinguish returning visitors (not a fingerprint, no PII)
- Screen resolution — for aggregate device statistics
- Language — browser language setting
- Timezone — for aggregate time-based analysis
- Timestamp — when the page was viewed
What We Do NOT Collect
- IP addresses
- Cookies
- Any personally identifiable information
- Fingerprints (the visitor ID is a random UUID, not a fingerprint)
Data Storage & Retention
Analytics data is stored in our SQLite database on the server. Data older than 90 days is automatically deleted. No data is shared with third parties.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for telemetry or tracking. No cookie consent banner is required.
Third-Party Services
This site does not embed third-party tracking scripts, advertising networks, or external telemetry services. All telemetry is self-hosted.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to access or delete. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@hantamonitor.dev.
